First of all, I've been a good girl yesterday. I studied two whole pages. Horrible ain't it? I really need to start studying because the exams start August 18, which is in exactly one month. You know what I noticed last exam period? I wasn't extremely nervous when I was doing the oral exam. I did have some serious stress attacks the days before the exam but when I was doing the exam itself, I felt at ease. Maybe because I told myself I would fail anyway and had accepted the failure already... Gotta say some exams where close to failure (a 10/20) but I still passed all. Who knows how I will feel during my upcoming exams because those are really my last chance. If I don't get that 75%, I have to look out for something else to study. I have one other thing I would like to study and that is sports management. But the problem with this subject is that it is only taught at Bruges, which is pretty far from where I live.
So I am still looking for an iPhone. Been searching on eBay and the prices all go over 1.000 USD. Now I am expanding my search to the old version too but they also go over 600 USD. The new 3G version is also released in Belgium but it costs 615 EUR (922 USD). So I am continuing my search on eBay. If I find one that I like (preferable one that is never used) that is in my price range I will buy it. If I dont find one, then I will ask an American friend to buy me the 500 USD AT&T one without the contract. So my deadline is the release of the Dev Team's unlock tool. As long as they haven't found a way to unlock the new 3G one, I continue my search. If I haven't found one before the release, I will ship one from the States. But my concern about the American ones: will the American WiFi also work over here in Europe? Do we use the same frequency? Because an iPhone without internet is like a half phone! If that's the case, you basically loose one of the main functions of the phone. The phone has some downsides too though. For example the fact that is has no flash or that is isn't possible to receive MMS. When one of your contacts sends you a photo, you receive an SMS with a link to the photo (but luckily you have internet on the phone so you can check it out straight away). It is also not possible to add a picture to your contact details. With my Nokia 7370 I could add a picture of a contact and when that person calls me, the picture is shown on the phone.
Been counting my money and I came to the conclusion that I can either go to NY for two whole weeks if I can stay with a friend, but if I have to go on hotel, I can only stay one week. Chris? Jay? Patrice? Anyone interested in offering me your couch? I don't take up that much space! I'll pay for the water I use, same with the electricity and food. Not that I will be inside very often... I will be hanging around down town like all the time! Shopping, looking at the eye candy on the street, strolling through Central Park, ... Anyone want to join me? So far I am still going alone so all company is welcome. Only remember one thing: hands off my Krinye! His muscles are mines! But luckily for my female companion (if I ever find one), he has a twin brother so maybe if you are nice, you can borrow him... Maybe just maybe. LOL!
Had a really strange dream last night. Can't explain it but it was something really odd. Wouldn't mind if it became reality one day... Why? Because I head a dream job, I earned €250.000/month, owned an apartment looking out over Central Park and I date(d) some of the hottest guys in the world. Too bad it was only a dream...
Yesterday I was reading an article on one of my favorite blogs. It was about sagging jeans. Got into a fight with a guy over this. Freedom of speech. Saying my opinion got me the f-word. Am I against the law? Hell naw because I never liked sagging jeans! Seeing a small part of the underwear (like 5cm) is still fine, but jeans that is under the buttlocks is just hideous. I never liked the thug style of dressing with the maxi sized shirts and jeans. I've always been a fan of Usher's style with the well fitting jeans (and yh he shows some underwear too), but the jeans withs nicely around his upper legs. And I absolutely adored the jackets he always wore with it. Especially the white one with blue striped shirt in his Yeah video.
You know you are getting old when teeny boppers are covering songs from your youth. Some days ago while I was browsing YouTube, I found out Pretty Ricky did a cover of H-Town's classic song Knockin Da Boots. The song is very close to the original but the thing that caught my attention was the video. Dayum! Basically the looked like well toned male strippers. Do I mind? Not at all. Guys always get what they want (seeing barely dressed hip hop candy) but we girls barely get our hip hop candy! I so miss the D'Angelo days when he was spinning around naked in the Untitled (How Does It Feel) video. Those were the days... Talking about D, what's that guy up to lately? I heard last year he would release an album in 2008 (finally!) but so far no news and we are already July... I miss the guy and his music. His Brown Sugar is still one of my all time favorite albums. I played it yesterday in my car for the millionth time. Volume on full power, everyone looking at me while I am singing along...
In April the weather forecast predicted we would have an extremely hot and dry summer. Dear mister weather man, you were wrong. It's July and it is cold and raining all the time. It is way too cold for this time of the year. I was so looking forward to the hot days with a lot of sun, but what I got is depressing weather! The one good thing about this all is that I can show off my Dolce & Gabbana jacket I bough some weeks ago.
When I read my girl Lolu's blog, she was talking about the new Jennifer Hudson's CD cover. That girl looked really thin. I heard she was working out very hard to loose some weight, but I still think the album cover is a little bit photoshopped. When you look at her arms, they look really thin and tight but when you come from a chubby figure and you loose weight, the skin isn't that tight. You have some loose flesh and on her cover it doesn't show at all. And the waist. I do believe she can loose weight in a short time, but that is wow! She looks like a model. Did she wore a corset? Photoshopped? But if that's natural, she can always send me her workout and diet schema! In case those pictures are indeed photoshopped, it seriously disappoints me because she proved you don't have to be skinny to be beautiful and successful. She was like a role model for every girl that didn't have the perfect size.
